Skandamata Puja

Goddess Skandamata is worshipped on the 5th day of Navratri, and she is the 5th Incarnation of Goddess Durga. She is the mother of Lord Skanda, who is also known as Lord Kartikeya. Lord Kartikeya is the commander-in-chief of the celestial army, and therefore also known as the Lord of War.

Lord Kartikeya (Skanda) was born to Lord Shiva and Goddess Durga (Parvati) for freeing the Universe from terrors of the Demon Tarakasur, who was given a boon by Lord Brahma, that he could be killed only by the Son of Lord Shiva and Goddess Durga.

Devi Skandmata is depicted as having Four arms, out of which, two arms holds Lotus flower, while one of the hands is in a blessing posture, and the other hand holds her son Lord Skand in her lap. She sits on a Lotus, and Lion is her vehicle. She appears very Joyful and Divine while carrying her son in her lap, and hence also known as Goddess of Purity.

The exact Date and Timings of Goddess Skandmata Pooja will be informed to you through an email and your representatives are most welcome to attend the same. 

1. Donate the Prasadam : In this option, the Puja Prasadam will be Donated to a Brahmin at our end (here itself). You can virtually see the Prasadam in the Video and offer your prayers to it. Hence, the Shipping Charges will not be applied for this Puja.

Benefits of Donating the Prasadam :

• No hassles of duty / taxes being levied at the recipient's end.
• If you opt for not receiving the prasadam, we will provide you a video recording of around 15-20 minutes instead of regular 12-13 minutes video without any extra charges to you. This video will have images of each item of Prasadam, so that you can pray in front of them, which will ensure that you get the same benefits that you would have got by physically receiving the prasadam.
  
• Thereafter, the prasadam will be given to the Brahmin, who have taken Sankalp on your part, so that the prasadam is virtually delivered to you. He will then take care of each and every item of the prasadam in a ritualistic way as mentioned in Vedic Texts, so that in fact you will get even better results of the puja as compared to prasadam being physically delivered to you wherein at times, you cannot take proper care of it.

All the pujas will be performed at Ahmedabad, India and the venue will be finalized by our purohits depending upon the type of Puja. The date is normally within 1 week of the receipt of the order unless it calls for a particular date either due to the customer’s choice or due to the type of Puja which requires to be performed on some specific Tithi (date according to the Hindu calendar) as per Vedic Shastras.
