He is ever-blissful and is devotedly worshipped by millions of people worldwide. Lord Ganesha is also known as Vignaharta, Ashtavinayaka, Ekadanta, Gajanana, Vakratunda and Ganpati. Lord Ganesha is always worshipped before starting any important work like a new Business, House construction or any other undertaking. The Auspicious recital "Om" is a manifestation of Lord Ganesha and therefore it is recited prior to any other ritualistic recitals. In Om, the upper arc is said to be the face of Lord Ganesha. The lower arc is his belly. The twisted arc which is on the right side of the Om is his trunk. Thus Omkara represents the complete physical form of Lord Ganesha. Lord Ganesha is worshipped for Riddhi (Wealth), Siddhi (Success) & Buddhi (Intelligence). Four arms of Lord Ganesha indicates that the Lord is omnipresent and omnipotent. The left side of the body symbolizes emotion and the right side symbolizes reason. An axe in the upper left hand and a lotus in the upper right hand signify that in order to attain spiritual perfection, one should cut worldly attachments and conquer emotions. This enables one to live in the world without being affected by earthly temptations, just as a lotus remains in water but is not affected by it. The lower right hand is shown in a blessing pose, which signifies that Ganesha always blesses His devotees.
