This homam is carried out to worship the God of life (Ayur Devatha). By performing this homam, one gets blessings of long life from Ayur Devta.
If a child is constantly not keeping well, this homam could be performed on a monthly basis till the child attains good health. But commonly this is performed once a year on the day of the star in which the child is born. It is commenced on the day the child completes one year of age. In case one forgets or is unable to perform it on this day due to inevitable circumstances, it should be carried out on the consecutive month. If desired it can also be done even on a monthly basis.
By performing this homam, one gets long life blessings from Ayur Devta. It is highly recommended that this homa should be performed once a year for healthy living and long life. If you are suffering from any ailment for long duration, then in such condition also Ayushya Homa is suggested.
You are supposed to perform this homam on the Star (Nakshaktra) birth date of the child. Getting it done on the first birth day bears significance. You can also perform it on the other birthdays too by choice.
This Puja / Homam is done individually for the person requesting the Pooja.Swasti Vachan, Shanti Path, Sankalp, Ganesh Sthapan, Kalash Sthapan, Lakshmi Sthapan, Aahwan / Sthapan of Ashwathama, Mahabali, Vyasa, Lord Hanuman, Vibhishana, Kripacharya and Parshuram, Navgrah Sthapan, Brahma Sthapan, Agni Sthapan, Invocation of all Gods and Goddesses, Navgrah Mantra Japa (1 mala for each planet), Ayushya Mantra Japa for 11000 times, Ayushya Suktam for 11 times, Lord Shiva Puja, Homam with Honey, Ghee, Sugar, Til, Ashtagandh, Sandalwood powder, Navgrah Samidha and then Purnahuti, Aarti and Prasad to Brahmins.

All the pujas will be performed at Ahmedabad, India and the venue will be finalized by our purohits depending upon the type of Puja. The date is normally within 1 week of the receipt of the order unless it calls for a particular date either due to the customer’s choice or due to the type of Puja which requires to be performed on some specific Tithi (date according to the Hindu calendar) as per Vedic Shastras.
